About

Wilder Mountain Medicine is an outdoor medical education company dedicated to teaching wilderness medicine where it’s meant to be used—in real environments, under real conditions. We provide clinically grounded training through guided outdoor learning experiences that emphasize sound judgment, adaptability, and human connection.

Our courses integrate evidence-based medical instruction with movement through wild places, creating an immersive learning environment that reflects the realities of outdoor and austere care. Whether training outdoor enthusiasts, guides, or medical professionals, our approach prioritizes practical decision-making, teamwork, and confidence in dynamic settings.

All programs are designed to be field-ready, professionally relevant, and widely applicable—bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world practice
